NOFA/Massachusetts Membership Application

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Massachusetts is a community including farmers, gardeners, landscapers, and consumers working to educate members and the general public about the benefits of local organic systems based on complete cycles, natural materials, and minimal waste for the health of individual beings, communities and the living planet.

Annual dues are $35 for individuals, $20 for a low income membership, and $150* for a supporting membership. Additionally, we offer a family, farm, or organizational membership for $45* and a business membership for $75*
*Entitles members to 2 reduced rates at NOFA events.

NOFA Massachusetts is designated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as tax-exempt as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and, as such, contributions to NOFA/Mass above regular membership dues are tax-deductible.

You can join one of two ways:

1. Enter your information into the NOFA/Mass Membership Application Form, print it, and then send the completed form with payment to the specified address. Click here for the printer-friendly mail-in NOFA/Mass Membership Application Form

2. Purchase your membership (and other items from NOFA/Mass) online using our Interstate Council Store and secure credit card server. Click here to join NOFA/Mass using your credit card, and follow the instructions.

A one-year membership to NOFA/Massachusetts includes:

• The annual three-day summer conference in Amherst, MA at Umass.
• The annual one-day winter conference on farming, gardening, and advocacy issues.
• All workshops including, the Practical Skills Workshop Series, the Advanced Growers' Winter Seminar, the the Massachusetts Organic Gardening Workshop Day, and the Nutrient Density Field Trainings.

Subscriptions to:

• The quarterly journal of the Interstate NOFA Council, The Natural Farmer - reporting on regional organic growing and related issues.
• The newsletter, NOFA/MASS News - updating members on NOFA programs and activities and reporting on key issues in organic food, farming and land care in Massachusetts.
• The annual Massachusetts Organic Food Guide - a complete listing of certified organic farms, sustainable farms and a wide variety of sustainable and organic businesses with "how-to" articles and workshop listings.
• The annual NOFA Guide to Organic Land Care - comprehensively listing over 400 NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals with helpful articles on landscape maintenance.

• The NOFA/Mass Bulk Order - with reduced prices on potting soil, compost, fertilizers, soil amendments, pest controls, cover crop seeds, seed potatoes and onions, and various tools and supplies - for members only.
• In person, by phone, and online organic extension services to help gardeners and farmers with growing questions (more information with your membership confirmation).
• Hundreds of how-to videos for purchase or rent.
• Information on the availability of organic grain for livestock feed in Massachusetts.
• Raw milk information for consumers and farmers and advocacy support for raw milk sales.
