Beginning Farmer Scholarships

Have you been farming for fewer than 10 years? If so, you can apply for a $60 scholarship to the conference. You must be a NOFA member to receive a scholarship, but you may join when you register for the conference.

By applying for a beginning farmer scholarship, applicants agree to provide NOFA/Mass with the following in the event that they are awarded a scholarship:

1. Two hours of volunteer service at the 2012 NOFA/Mass Winter Conference. Special arrangements may be made if you would like to do your volunteer shift prior to the conference.
2. One post-conference scholarship evaluation. The post-conference scholarship evaluation is a brief form that helps us track the effectiveness of our educational programs. This form will be made available to all scholarship recipients, and must be returned by February 15, 2012.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until December 15. Accepted applicants will be notified by December 20. Accepted applicants who do not register by January 1 will forfeit their scholarship to someone on our waiting list. The number of scholarships that we can offer is limited by our funding, so please don't delay. Apply today!
