Welcome growers to the 2010 NOFA Mass/CT/RI Fall Bulk Order.
Any grower, from the backyard to the farm, can participate.

Download the order form now! 2 Types:

1- EXCEL FORM: - Pre-Formulated & easy to fill out: Download, & enter quantities directly on the form. Item & page totals will be calculated & carried over to totals page. Minimal calculations required.
2- PDF FORM: Download this form, if you prefer to print & calculate by hand.

The Bulk Order offers many organically certifiable farm, garden, and lawn care products at "bulk" prices, while also supporting NOFA. The favorable prices you'll find here are due to the generosity of our suppliers, the hard work of the Site Managers, all of you who help to receive and distribute the goods, and to our minimal overhead. This fall, some prices for Fertrell's line of animal Nutribalancer have gone up, but prices for fall mineral amendments and fertilizers have remained the same or lowered a bit. We've also introduced, at great prices, bulk Hi-Cal lime & compost, seed starting supplies, and BPA-free canning lids. Happy ordering and thank you for supporting NOFA.

NOFA members and non-members may participate in the Bulk Order. Whether you're a small scale gardener, large scale commercial farmer, or anything in between, you can participate; there's no minimum order. NOFA members, join or renew on the order form, receive the price listed. Non-members should include an additional 10% to cover administrative fees.

Our Suppliers. We are pleased to be continuing our work with:
Organic Growers Supply, ME: mineral amendments, fertilizers, cover crop seeds - www.fedcoseeds.com
Fertrell, PA: - mineral amendments, fertilizers, animal care products - www.fertrell.com
Bormioli Rocco: BPA-free canning lids - www.bormiolirocco.com
Vermont Compost Company, VT: compost & potting soil - www.vermontcompost.com
Allyndale Lime Co, CT: Pallet & bulk loads Hi-Cal Lime ***SEE NOTE BELOW

BPA-free canning lids are suitable for small & large mouth canning jars. Cover crop seeds are specifically for the fall & winter growing seasons. Now with 2 annual bulk orders, you don't have to sit on seed 6 months before using it. Cover crops suitable to the spring & summer seasons will be offered on the spring bulk order, available January 1, 2011.

Descriptions and More Products. Link here to brief descriptions of products listed on the order form. Visit our supplier's websites or peruse the Fedco OGS, VCC, or Fertrell catalogs for more detailed info. If you are interested in OGS/Fertrell products not on our form, I can probably get them for you at a discounted NOFA price. I encourage you to shop for what you need. If you want such items, contact me by August 3rd for price, availability and ordering instructions, before you complete your form.

Deliveries: For this order, we are offering you pallet pricing for most of the minerals and fertilizers listed, as well as VCC compost & potting soils. To qualify for this pallet pricing, we are requiring you to arrange for drop delivery at individual farms or other pre-designated sites. Please contact the bulk order coordinator to determine pallet pricing & drop shipping rates, which are to be included in your payment. If you are ordering VCC slings only, delivery charge is $79, and you can add it on the form without contacting coordinator. You are responsible for offloading pallets with a pallet jack, fork lift, tractor, or equivalent equipment. If you require hand offloading, an additional fee may apply.

Additionally, Hi-Cal Lime, through Allyndale, is offered in 15 ton bulk truck loads or pallets (56 50# bags). Additional shipping costs apply; please call/e-mail to confirm rates. For us to qualify for this pallet price, our total NOFA order must equal 12 pallets. If it does not equal 12 pallets, we can't get pallet pricing, and refunds will be issued. In this case Hi-cal lime pallets can then be ordered through another supplier, at a higher price. We will contact you to participate in this replacement order, if necessary.

Order by Mail. Fill out your order form neatly, designating your pick up site, and mail with your payment. Please note, orders must be postmarked August 15th. There will be no late period.

Order in Person. Orders will be accepted in person at the NOFA Summer Conference, August 13th - 15th, in Amherst, MA. Please drop off order form & payment at the NOFA/Mass table.

Taxes. Massachusetts members must pay a 6.25% sales tax on all of the highlighted items on page 3. However, you can claim exempt status if your business is not-for-profit (include a copy of your ST-5 or ST-2 forms) or if you are a commercial farm (include a copy of Form ST-12, downloadable from www.mass.gov/dor). Sales tax will be charged unless exempt status documentation accompanies the order. The MA legislature has yet to determine if August 14-15 will be a tax-free weekend. If the tax-free weekend passes, any order turned in at the Summer Conference will be tax-free.

Volume Discount. If your order totals over $500, (before taxes and membership), you may deduct 2%, over $1000 deduct 3%, over $2500 deduct 4%. If you qualify for the discount and must pay Mass. Sales Tax, (highlighted items on page 3 only), figure the tax on your discounted page one total.

Order Confirmation. I will contact you within 1 week of receiving your order. If you do not hear from me, contact me.

PLEASE HELP! As always, the Site Managers can use help unloading the truck, organizing, and breaking down orders. This is another reason why we save money - everyone chips in a little work. All sites have graciously agreed to host the pick-up during their busiest time of the year. If Barre, Natick, or Bloomfield is your closest pick-up location, please consider volunteering to help check in & breakdown the order upon arrival Tuesday, September 14th. Just check "I can help breakdown" on your order form, arrive on the 14th at a time to be determined, and take home your order early. Volunteering is a great way to meet other NOFA members and to participate in a wonderful communal tradition. For those unable to help on the 14th, pick-up your order during the scheduled times printed below.

PICK UP DATES VARY. Please see schedule below. We'll e-mail you a reminder including directions to the site you circled about a week before pickup. Please bring a copy of your order and check all items before leaving. Any problems should be reported to your Site Manager. You must pick up your order on the pickup date unless prior arrangements have been made with your Site Manager.
