2019 is right around the corner, which means it’s almost time for the NOFA Tri-State Bulk Order.  The Bulk Order opens for business for on January 1st – participants will have 1 month to place their orders; the deadline is January 31.  Orders can be placed online at (which goes live on New Year’s Day) or via print-out pdf (available at

We’ve been working diligently for the last few months, trying to figure out ways to increase efficiency, streamline the entire Bulk Order and, consequently, save you money, and I believe we have a great plan in place for 2019.  For the first time in the 35 years of the Tri-State Bulk Order, tubers and onion sets will be available for pickup on the same day as your amendments, tools, and everything else.  To top it all off, if you choose to, you’ll be able to pick up your potting soil and compost one week earlier than in previous years, and your sling orders will be delivered earlier as well!  To facilitate this, we have shifted our Pickup Day into the second weekend of April and added an optional Potting Soil Early Pickup Day at the very beginning of March to accommodate those folks who need to get their seedlings planted or the hoop houses going right away.  This strategy will reduce our costs, allowing us to offer a more discounted rate to you, and also simplifies the pickup process, as there is only one day needed to get all of your bulk order goodies!!

In other news, we’re sad to announce that Lancaster Agriculture has shut their doors, but we are working with our vendors to offer all the products you’ve come to expect from the NOFA Tri-State Bulk Order.  We have some exciting new vendors in the works (stay tuned for official announcements!), as well as our returning favorites, and are making sure that we are offering you all the supplies and tools needed to support your best practices.

Pickup Day for all products – including amendments, potting soil, tools, packing supplies, tubers, and onion sets is Saturday, April 13h.  If you need your potting soil earlier, you can arrange to pick it up at a special “Potting Soil Early Pickup Day” on Saturday, March 9th.   Volunteers are welcome the week leading up to Pickup Day
