Real Pickles Production Assistant

Real Pickles is a worker cooperative in Greenfield, MA, producing raw, fermented pickled foods from Northeast-grown, organic vegetables. Seeking temporary production help which includes all aspects of production, including preparing fresh vegetables for fermentation (in season) and packaging finished product into glass jars. We make dill pickles, sauerkrauts, kimchi, ginger carrots, beets, kvass and hot sauce.

Work is physically demanding and repetitive. Applicants should be hard-working, reliable, and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently. Experience with commercial food production, farming and natural foods is strongly preferred. Staff is maintaining the distances possible given the work environment, limiting outside exposure to essential activities only, all wearing masks and there is regular sanitizing of shared materials and surfaces.

3-4 6 hour shifts per week. Job begins asap. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (possible Friday) 1:30-8pm with 1/2 hour break. There may be potential for this position to increase in hours or permanence in the future. Please do not apply if you cannot meet these criteria.
