Welcome to the 33rd Annual Northeast Organic Farming Association, Massachusetts Chapter (NOFA/Mass) Winter Conference, one of the largest annual conferences on organic growing in the Northeast. We are a community of farmers, gardeners, landscapers and consumers educating and advocating for the use of organic agriculture to expand the production and availability of nutritious food from living soil for the health of individuals, communities and the planet.

NOFA has regional chapters in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and New Jersey.

About the NOFA/Mass Winter Conference

The 2020 NOFA/Mass Winter Conference— to be held January 11th, 2020 at Worcester State University— Focusing on the theme of “A Toxin-Free Future”, workshops, intensive seminars and a keynote address by award-winning journalist and author, Carey Gillam, will explore the importance of removing harmful toxins from our lives for the future of agriculture and the world.

We at NOFA/Mass are thrilled to announce that our 2020 Winter Conference Keynote Presenter will be the award-winning journalist Carey Gillam! 

Gillam is a former senior correspondent for Reuter’s international news service and veteran journalist with over 25 years of experience covering American corporations and agribusiness. She specializes in biotech, pesticide development, and the environmental impacts of food production in the United States. Her articles appear regularly in The Guardian, the Huffington Post, Environmental Health News and the US Right to Know.

Along with learning from experts on working toward a toxin-free future, conference registration includes an organic lunch and admission to the keynote address. All will take place throughout the campus of Worcester State University, which is fully accessible. Parking on campus is free; there is also a carpool signup link set up for folks who are looking for a ride or can offer one. Discounted registration options are available for children, students, groups, and NOFA members. Partial work-exchange and scholarships are also available.
