Soil health, plant health and human health are related : healthy soil means healthy plants, healthy food and healthy people. Join the REC and guest speakers from NOFA to learn all about soil health and how to promote healthier soil in your own garden!

Community gardening at public facilities increases access to getting healthy foods in communities that struggle with food access The importance of engaging communities in food security and soil health matters.

Learn how to take a soil sample and read results of a soil test. Then how to use soil test results, cover crops and compost to discourage compaction. Learn basic soil health techniques to address soil fertility problems and how to easily identify plant health diseases and deficiencies.

After attending this workshop you can look forward to less stress and a bountiful harvest! Also learn about what the community members are learning from NOFA/Mass concerning healthy soils.
