Your digestive tract contains billions of helpful gut bacteria, but how does our gut microbiome affect our health? We need to care for our gut microbiome as we would any ecosystem, by encouraging the growth of the beneficial species and discouraging the growth of pathogenic or unhealthy species. In this interactive workshop, author Heather Anne Wise will explain the latest science on the gut microbiome, what kinds of challenges it faces from the impacts of our diet and environment, as well as ways to rebuild and enhance internal biodiversity for optimum health.
