The Urban Farming Institute and NOFA/Mass are co-hosting this workshop exploring how the right combination of biological and regenerative farming approaches can steadily improve your crop quality - especially in urban and small garden settings. 

You will take away from this workshop new skills, including:

  • Knowing how to detect and understand the unique advantages and limitations of your soil and your crops.
  • Understanding the important interactions between your plants, soil and air, and how attending to your soil health improves them all.
  • How to grow better quality food in a climate-smart fashion.

Presenter: Dan Kittredge, Bionutrient Food Association

An organic farmer for 30+ years, Dan is the founder and executive director of the Bionutrient Food Association, whose mission is to “increase quality in the food supply”. Known as one of the leading proponents of “nutrient density”, Dan has worked to demonstrate the connections between plant health, soil health, carbon sequestration, crop nutritional value, flavor and human health.  Participants please bring your favorite dish for a potluck luncheon!
