Tangerinis Spring Street Farm grows year-round crops in Millis, MA even offering a pick-your-own Deep Winter CSA for their dedicated members. One of the methods that the farm uses to keep their production moving through the seasons is over-wintered carrots. Steve Chiarizio will give a tour of the winter farming infrastructure and will give an overview of what the farm has learned so far in setting out to overwinter onions. He will then go into detail on his experience overwintering carrots for several years, including bed prep, variety, planting time, tunnel materials and equipment, spring maintenance and harvesting.

Steve Chiarizio is the manager of Tangerinis Spring Street Farm and has twenty years in the agriculture industry.
