Webinar: Industrial Hemp: growing practices and uses for human health

October 27, 2020 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Anywhere, MA

Industrial hemp is used as an ingredient in a wide range of popular products, including paper, clothing, food and more.

Hemp is different from marijuana, hemp is a variety of the cannabis plant that is bred for industrial use rather than it’s THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content.  Some of the most popular uses for hemp include processing the delicious and nutritious seeds into hemp milk, granola, food bars and butters.  Hemp fiber can also be used in clothing, paper and building materials.

Finn Hodgins and Daniel Dolgin of Eaton Hemp will discuss some of the uses for industrial hemp, how it is cultivated and how potential farmers can find viable seeds. Dan will also talk about soil health practices, use of hemp as a cover crop and plant care for this highly profitable crop. This is a wonderful introductory session for those who are interested in growing industrial hemp on a small or large scale.

Eaton Hemp is located in the rolling green hills of Eaton, NY and specializes in hemp products and plant cultivation.

Presenter: Daniel Dolgin and Finn Hodgkins of Eaton Hemp
