Farm Assistant Manager – Gould Farm (Monterey, MA)
Join a dynamic therapeutic community at Gould Farm, where farming meets healing. We’re seeking a Farm Assistant Manager to support our sustainable farm and creamery operations, help lead a team of staff and program participants, and manage all aspects of livestock care and dairy production. This is a full-time, residential position on our beautiful 700-acre campus in the Berkshires.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee livestock care, milking, and dairy production (milk, cheese, yogurt)
- Provide training, support, and supervision to guests and staff on the farm team
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
- Participate in budgeting, farm planning, and interdepartmental coordination
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of hands-on farm and animal husbandry experience
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to live on-site (housing and meals provided)
Compensation: $19–$24/hour + excellent benefits including housing, meals, medical/dental, PTO, and more.
