April 26 @ 6:00 pm - April 28 @ 6:00 pm
Description: All ages are welcome to submit 2D images (paintings, photos, pastels etc) or 3D items (sculptures, maquettes etc) to celebrate our heritage of growing. Some points of inspiration include but are not limited to food, farm animals, forests, seaweed, and mushrooms. All 2D work must be framed and ready to hang. Diversity is a key component of this exhibit, so cast a wide net as we welcome art from the youngest creators to seasoned pros. At-Home Compost Design Challenge
Description: We are looking for the next best at-home compost system design. Think of the perfect small scale design that is ideal for the average person with a home and garden. The goal is to encourage and inspire more people to redirect organic matter from our landfills and feed our gardens to generate more nutritious food. The limitations are simple: Must be plastic free, easy to maintain, and can retail for less than $250. Otherwise if your design has wheels for mobility, ladders for chickens, or even a removable worm bin are all up to you and your inventor’s whims. All submissions will be displayed at the event on April 26-28th in Groton.
Submission Deadline extended – April 20, 2024
