Go Nuts Bi-Monthly Community Call : Agroforestry Funding
March 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This month at Go Nuts, we’ll be discussing funding & the agroforestry movement amongst the uncertainty of programs and unprecedented funding freezes. We’ll talk about not only what your experience and understanding is, but also tapping into our collective power as a movement. What’s affected? What is actionable? What’s not? What’s next?
This includes paths of economies that aren’t just grant funding. What about local networks & other resiliency strategies? What can the principles of agroforestry teach us about funding this work? Do you have workshares and other strategies to help get over the hump of establishment without being dependent on federal funding? Come share!

Go Nuts is our informational and conversation-rich agroforestry call. During this call which takes place every other odd month, we will discuss all things related to agroforestry, from planting and tree establishment to infrastructure and consumer access. This includes insight into the variety of species of trees and shrubs and their various applications as well as discussing more technical elements such as soil health or animal integration. All of these discussions are grounded in the relevancy of agroforestry as a unified food systems solution, and how it can help sustain our environment, improve soil health and boost community resilience. Our goal is to provide an informative and entertaining experience for our participants, so don’t hesitate to call in with questions or comments. We look forward to hearing from you!
Topics include:
- Types of Agroforestry
- Soil health for perennial systems as different from annuals
